View the Autodesk Retirement Program page
here. (Product retirement, defined by Autodesk, is a product no longer supported by
Autodesk.)
The following Autodesk products will be retired on
March 15, 2008:
AutoCAD LT® 2005
Autodesk® Architectural Desktop 2005
Autodesk® Land Desktop 2005
Autodesk® Map 3D 2005
Autodesk® Raster Design 2005
AutoCAD® Mechanical 2005
AutoCAD® Electrical 2005
Autodesk Inventor® Series 9
Autodesk® VIZ 2005
Autodesk® 3ds Max 7
What does the retirement mean to me? Autodesk will stop selling upgrades and crossgrades from the products listed above after March 15, 2008. That means upgrade pricing will no longer be available and Autodesk will no longer provide technical support, except for existing maintenance patches that are downloadable from www.autodesk.com. But don't worry, there's still an opportunity to move to the latest Autodesk software release, even after the retirement date. The Autodesk Legacy Program gives customers who own valid licenses of select retired Autodesk software the opportunity to purchase new licenses of current Autodesk software at a discounted price. (AutoCAD LT software is not eligible for the Autodesk Legacy Program.)
