This error occurs only if you upgrade from Autodesk Survey Release 2.0 to Autodesk Survey Release 2i, and then try to reinstall Autodesk Survey Release 2i. There are two scenarios where this situation can occur: ·During the upgrade of AutoCAD Land Development Desktop Release 2.0 to AutoCAD Land Development Desktop Release 2i, the installation detects that Autodesk Survey Release 2.0 is installed and automatically upgrades the software to Autodesk Survey Release 2i. A dialog box indicates that Autodesk Survey Release 2i will be installed in addition to AutoCAD Land Development Desktop Release 2i. If you attempt to install Autodesk Survey Release 2i when you have already installed it to upgrade Autodesk Survey Release 2.0, the error occurs. ·After upgrading from Autodesk Survey Release 2.0 to Autodesk Survey Release 2i, you attempt to uninstall Autodesk Survey Release 2i. You are unable to uninstall Autodesk Survey Release 2i, because there is no option for it in the Add/Remove Programs dialog box. Because you cannot uninstall Autodesk Survey, keys are left in the Windows registry, which prevent you from reinstalling. To resolve either of these problems, you must run the SVR2to2iFix.exe file. ***VERSIONS*** AutoCAD Land Development Desktop 2i Autodesk Survey 2i ***INSTALLATION & USEAGE*** Double-click on the SVR2to2iFix.exe file and you will be prompted to Run The Survey Utility, the following message will appear in the Run Utility dialog: This utility will correct problems with the registry as a result of an upgrade from Autodesk Survey R2 to 2i. This utility should only be used if you are experiencing problems uninstalling or reinstalling Autodesk Survey 2i. If you are sure you wish to run this utility, press OK now, otherwise press Cancel. At this point, select OK to run the utility file.
